Singled Out: Kristy Coote's Free Wind

Australian-based pop star Kristy Coote tells us about the inspiration for her hit single "Free Wind," which is the first single from her forthcoming new album "Favourite Things". Here is the story:

Did you ever feel yourself sinking and not realizing why?? It's fear . Fear I tell you .people! 'Free Wind' talks about going down the road less travelled due to fear of change. As one of the line states in the song, "Head first I've heard is the best way. I'm not getting any younger, makes no sense to hold on longer."

The moral to this story is you only have one life and you need to give it all you've got, whatever your dreams may be. I know I'm spreading the clich once again but it really is true.

I recorded this song in Nashville, TN not knowing at the time that it would be my 1st single off the album. The track was written by Nashville songwriters, Chaise and Jen Bostic. It's got the catchiest melody and it just 'fit' as an example of my new album, 'Favourite Thing,' to come.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself here and learn more about the album right here!
