Adele Scrapped Songs About Motherhood For New Album

(Radio.com) In her first full interview since announcing her new album 25, Adele revealed that she scrapped many songs about motherhood in favor of less "boring" subjects.

The singer, who gave birth to her first son in 2012-after the success of her 2011 album 21-said being a mother didn't necessarily inspire good music. "I did write an album about being a mum but that's pretty boring," she told BBC Radio 1 (via NME). "I scrapped that."

"Getting into the headspace was really difficult. Obviously, now I'm a parent and having such a break off, I kind of fell out of the habit of writing songs." Read more here.
