Singled Out: Arcadia's Life Is Easy
. With our album, we tried to put together a message about bringing communities together and creating a vibe of togetherness for people. "Life is Easy" tells mini stories in each verse to touch on various ways someone could ultimately interpret the phrase. It started with the chorus melody in Larry's (Ford - vocalist and lead singer in Arcadia) head leading him to support that feeling lyrically in the verses. The music flowed from there with the rest of the band. Writing the song came pretty naturally. Then, we knew it was a matter of capturing that vision in the studio which can be tough. Our producer, Nolan Rossi, did a fantastic job capturing our vision and bringing it to life. Although we recorded the entire album with live tracking. It still helps so much to have a producer who can tweak tones and cadences to make a song what it is. The chorus outro was an in-studio idea that we came up with as we were brainstorming. We brought in a couple of friends to sing in one mic while Larry played the acoustic live too - it created the sound of a small group grooving. Nolan and the owner of the studio Scott also joined in on the singing. When people listen to that song, since it's the first song on the album, we hope that it engages them and sets the tone for the rest of the record. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
