The song was originally recorded by David Allan Coe and later covered by George Jones, but is regaining recognition after being included on Traveller. Bareilles wrote on Facebook: "I literally can't stop listening and now I am singing it all day long. Tennessee Whiskey. Oof. Forgive me for indulging' Chris Stapleton."
