You can see my influences that I had and the influences that I have now and the stuff that I listen to, the music that I listen to and you could sort of find the core of what I do along the way as well." And that said, there's no lyrical thread running through Damn Country Music. "There's not really a theme throughout the album. I don't think you can say this song relates to this song, or this song relates to this song or anything like that.
