The radio friendly track showcases Pickler's airy vocals alongside steel and slide guitar. "What you're doing right now is sunshine and midnight," she sings on the track.

"Feeling Tonight" was written by Sarah Buxton, Josh Osborne and Jimmy Robbins, and produced by Pickler's husband, Kyle Jacobs. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in April, she teased her new music.

"I will say that it is up-tempo and I hope that it will be this year's summer anthem," she said. "Represent the girls and have fun. It's sassy, and fun."
