Sam Smith Received 'Actual Harry Potter Wands' For His Birthday

. (Radio.com) While Sam Smith recovers from vocal cord surgery, his 23rd birthday happened to fall within the bounds of his recovery period. To celebrate, his sisters sent him something very, very British.

In a post on his Instagram, Smith revealed that he received none other than "authentic" Harry Potter wands for his big day. "My sisters are actually the f-ing BEST," he wrote. "They got me authentic Harry Potter wands!!!!!!!!!! Best present EVERRRRRRR."

Of course, what does "authentic" mean? Real wands from the set of the film series, kind of like how Jay Z bought Beyonce one of the real dragon eggs from the Game of Thrones set?
