(hennemusic) Metallica frontman James Hetfield performed the 1976 Blue Oyster Cult classic, "(Don't Fear) The Reaper," at the second annual "Acoustic-4-A-Cure" benefit concert at The Masonic in San Francisco on May 15 and video from the performance has gone online.

Hetfield was joined by Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and a pedal steel guitarist for the song; the lineup also performed the Metallica track "Mama Said" from 1996's "Load."

The Metallica guitarist and lead singer also delivered an acoustic version of Adele's "Crazy For You" - from 2008's "19" - with his 16 year-old daughter Cali on vocals.

Hetfield and Sammy Hagar co-hosted the event, which also included performances by Joe Satriani, Pat Monahan from Train, Adam Sandler and Linda Perry.

All proceeds from "Acoustic-4-A-Cure" will be donated to fund children's brain tumor research at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, one of the nation's leading children's medical facilities. Watch videos of the performances here.
