Cher Still Thinks David Letterman Is A...
. On Wednesday night (May 6), Cher dropped in to remind Letterman that he's still the thing she called him back in 1986. The singer stepped in on his monologue to bid him farewell, in that special Cher way she has. "You know, Dave, for a number of years, there's something that I've always wanted to get straight between us." "Once, a long time ago, on the first show [I appeared on], I called you an a-hole," Cher said, illicting a huge laugh from the crowd. "Oh yes, I remember that. That was how many years ago? 29 years ago," Letterman recalled. "I always took it with a grain of salt." "No, you didn't," Cher saucily replied. "Remember the People magazine? You kept mentioning it in the People magazine. You were upset. I got you, it was a little nah nah. This is one thing that I really mean from the bottom of my heart, I'm not kidding, no bulls-: I really love you and I'm going to miss you." The pair hugged and Cher gave him a peck on the lips. After the crowd quieted and Letterman called the gesture "very sweet of you," Cher responded with a last jab. "And you're still an a-shole." See it here.
