The social media posts exploded on Monday evening with a tidal wave of photos of a man wearing a white suite tumbling down the red carpet but it turns out to be a case of mistaken identity.

The photos are actually from the Cannes Film Festival in 2011, points out Zimbio, when an unnamed attendant (coined the Cannes Fall Guy) ungracefully tumbled down the stairs behind a gaggle of photographers hopelessly unaware of the folly.
