Kenny Chesney Working On New David Lee Murphy Album

. (Radio.com) Kenny Chesney is teaming up with singer-songwriter David Lee Murphy for a new collaborative album called No Zip Code. According to Rolling Stone Country, the "Wild Child" singer announced the news at the BMI offices after accepting awards for his recent chart toppers, calling Murphy "the original - and last - of the hillbilly rock stars."

"There's a real aggression to this," Chesney said. "But it's also core country like it's not being done. Not retro, but the way Alabama or the Dirt Band might sound today. . . This is about being raised on the right influences, and hitting it straight on."

The 10-track album is produced by Buddy Cannon, as well as by Chesney and Murphy. Chesney is featured on the title track, while Dan Tyminski (Alison Krauss and Union Station, Avicii's "Hey Brother") assists on "As a Crow Flies." Read more here.
