Taylor Swift Named World's Sixth Greatest Leader

The question is convoluted, but one that Fortune tries to answer in their yearly World's Greatest Leaders issue, and their top 10 features a diverse group that includes the Apple CEO, the President of the European Central Bank, the President of China, the Pope, and the Prime Minster of India in the top five.

Maybe most interesting is number six: Taylor Swift. Yes, the country-turned-pop icon is the highest ranking female leader in the world according to Fortune, and they have a convincing argument as for why.

"Pop's savviest star has crossed swords with Spotify, embraced corporate sponsorship, and moved to secure dozens of trademarks (including phrases like 'This sick beat" )," Fortune argues, "And she's done it without resorting to dumbed-down salacious gimmickry." Read more here.
