Dolly Parton Sings Duets With Fan With Down Syndrome
. (Radio.com) Dolly Parton recently made one young boy's dreams come true. Gage Blackwell is an aspiring country singer who has Down syndrome, and during a recent visit with Parton, Blackwell impressed the singer by being her duet partner on many country classics. A fan of Parton's, Blackwell shared with the singer his love for artists like George Jones and Tammy Wynette. As it turns out, Parton agreed with many of his choices. "I love George Jones. I just think he was the greatest singer ever," Parton said. While visiting with Blackwell, Parton sang some of her hits like "Coat of Many Colors," "Islands In the Stream," "Jolene" and "9 to 5″ while urging him to sing along. Parton was so impressed with their duet she nicknamed him Gage Rogers. "That's better than Kenny!" she said. Blackwell had so much fun with his visit, he even gushed on Facebook that he wants to marry Dolly. Read more and watch video here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
