Limp Bizkit Singer Mistaken For Murder Suspect Robert Durst
. Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst has a new reason to want to "break stuff" after the Associated Press confused him with murder suspect Robert Durst and added insult to injury when their correction of the report claimed that he was no longer in the band. Robert Durst made headlines this week when he was arrested in Louisiana on a first-degree murder warrant from Los Angeles for the alleged murder of his friend Susan Berman in 2000. The news captured more attention due to the recent airing of the final episode of the HBO documentary series "The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst" which appeared to include a confession from Durst while he was talking to himself and not aware his microphone was still on. On Tuesday, the Associated Press published a story about Durst facing weapons charges in Louisiana and they reported "an arrest warrant was issued for the former Limp Bizkit frontman". The AP recognized the error and released the following correction, "The Associated Press reported erroneously that Robert Durst is a member of a band. He is a real estate heir; Fred Durst is the former frontman of Limp Bizkit." Durst is still a member of Limp Bizkit who is still an active band.
