Violent Femmes Release First New Song in 15 Years

. (Radio.com) When it comes to timeless hits from the 1980s, few stand the test of time as well as the songs produced by Milwaukee's Violent Femmes, particularly from the band's classic self-titled 1983 debut.

"Blister in the Sun" and "Add It Up" are the most recognizable songs from the band's catalog, which they've just added to for the first time in 15 years with the new song, "Love Love Love Love Love."

"Happy to have some new recordings for people that have loved our music," frontman Gordan Gano said of the new track (via Consequence of Sound), "and would be honored to have a few new ears hear us for the first time too."

The song, which boasts a swinging, bossa nova vibe, is from a new EP that's expected to see the light of day later on this year. Listen here.
