Bert Deivert and Copperhead Run Release Debut Album

. (The Blues) Bert Deivert has just released his 12th album - which is also the first with his band Copperhead Run. Blood in My Eyes For You, featuring 10 covers and two fresh tracks, sees them paying tribute to Sleepy John Estes, Big Joe Williams, RL Burnside, Son House and others.

US-born, Swedish-based mandolinist Deivert also delivers vocals and guitar, alongside Janne Zander on resonator, acoustic and electric guitars, Per-Arne Pettersson on bass and Fredrik Lindholm on drums.

Deivert says: "The whole album was recorded live in the studio in four and a half hours - no overdubs, no edits, and exactly as we sound onstage. Real juke-joint style with mandolin. We've heard no other bands with this setting doing music like this." Read more here.
