Marvel Sends Congratulations to 'Jurassic World' Team
. After Jurassic World's insane box office opening weekend, where it grossed more than $500 million worldwide (which, yes, does in fact break some records), Marvel felt some congratulations were in order. Marvel's The Avengers had held the box office record for the biggest domestic opening weekend ever since 2012. And while some reports initially indicated that The Avengers still reigned supreme, that honor eventually went to Universal, Jurassic World and lead actor Chris Pratt. However, even though Marvel was dethroned, there were clearly no hard feelings. Producer and President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige took a moment to tweet out a classy congratulations when the news broke. Congrats Mr. Spielberg @UniversalPics @Legendary @LeDoctor @colintrevorrow and especially @prattprattpratt http://t.co/5DxlDM8pgK- Kevin Feige (@Kevfeige) June 16, 2015 Read more here.
