D'Angelo Already Working On New Album

(Radio.com) It might have taken D'Angelo almost 15 years to release Black Messiah but his follow up isn't nearly as far behind. Taking advantage of his momentum, the neo-soul showman says that he's already at work on his next album.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, D'Angelo revealed that "What I'm working on now is like a companion piece. I hope people receive it that way. It's part of the same vision."

Judging by how many songs D'Angelo recorded in the decade plus spanning between Black Messiah and his 2000 LP Voodoo, it seems likely that some of the outtakes from last year's album could be included on this "companion piece." Then again, it seems like D'Angelo is amped on the idea of starting fresh. Read more here.
