Robert Cray Plans To Release Another Live Album
. Cray tells the Courant: "I've always loved playing live - it's just a nice way to show off the band. You're baring your soul. You have no place to hide. We're a different band in front of a crowd." The upcoming album will be a selection from four shows he recently played with bassist Richard Cousins, keyboardist Dover Weinberg and drummer Les Falconer. Cray says: "There's no point in replicating what you did in the studio. I learned that a long time ago. The challenge is to nail it without playing the same solo or going with a different tempo."
