In 2013 I was living in Ridgewood, NY with a bunch of people and playing some guitar by my bed. My roommate Julie overheard me messing around on the guitar and said "hey that's really cool what is that"...to which I responded...nothing! It was the pre-chorus to Behind The Scenes. Later that day me and some band mates fleshed out a really cool chorus for it.

When this song first was coming together the only lyrics I had were "I can hear the voice inside my head." I wasn't really sure what to make the song about. The night before I had to track vocals for the song I wrote completely new lyrics. Talking about the aftermath of deciding to move on from someone and the different stages you experiences during that time.
