Video From Whitesnake Tour Kick Off Goes Online

(hennemusic) Whitesnake opened their North American tour in support of "The Purple Album" at the Northern Quest Casino Theater in Airway Heights, Washington on May 28 and video from the show has been posted online.

The group's 12th album sees frontman David Coverdale re-recording classic songs from the Deep Purple Mark 3 and Mark 4 records he appeared on, including 1974's "Burn" and "Stormbringer", and 1975's "Come Taste The Band."

Whitesnake's 17-song set opened with the Deep Purple classic, "Burn", and mixed 9 tunes from the tribute record alongside a few of the band's own tracks.

"The Purple Album" debuted on the US charts this past week, opening at No. 6 on the Top Current Hard Music Albums, No. 15 on Top Current Rock Albums, No. 43 on Top Current Albums and No. 84 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts. Watch videos from the tour kick off here.
