Mew Part Ways With Guitarist Bo Madsen

. Mew announced that guitarist Bo Madsen has left the group "for the time being". A reason for the departure was not revealed but from their statement it appears that they are leaving the door open for a possible return in the future.

The band released the following statement, "After 20 years playing together in Mew, the band and Bo Madsen have decided to part ways for the time being."

"At present the rest of us will continue with Mew. We are happy to tell you that guitarist Mads Wegner will be joining us on our upcoming shows, and we look forward to seeing you all out there. Thank you for your understanding and support, Jonas, Johan and Silas."

The announcement comes after the band performed two concerts this past weekend with Mads Wegner performing in Madsen's place, according to mxdwn.com.
