D'Angelo To Appear On Upcoming Saturday Night Live Episode
. (Radio.com) The Jan. 31 edition of Saturday Night Live is going to be can't-miss, based on the special guests. JK Simmons--a renowned character actor known for his work on Law And Order and HBO's Oz and most recently Whiplash, for which he won a Golden Globe--will be appearing alongside man-of-the-moment D'Angelo, who will be performing songs off his recent album. D'Angelo has never appeared on Saturday Night Live before--in fact, he's barely appeared on TV at all for the last decade or so, following his self-imposed exile in the wake his previous album Voodoo, released 14 years ago. Now that's all about to change. The singer released Black Messiah last month--the tour de force project showed that the previous fourteen years weren't spent in vain; rather, he was gearing up for just the right time. Now we'll get to hear how some of those songs sound in a live setting on the hallowed grounds of SNL. Read more here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
