The Weeknd Arrested For Allegedly Punching Police Officer
. (Radio.com) The Weeknd did not win the jackpot while hanging out in Las Vegas over the weekend, instead he earned a free ride to jail. The artist, real name Abel Tesfaye, was arrested on Saturday morning for allegedly punching a police officer. According to Entertainment Weekly who spoke with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, patrol officers responded to a 4:42 call at the Cromwell Hotel located on the Vegas strip where a "verbal or physical altercation" had broken out between an estimated 30 people. The special events officers on duty at the hotel were attempting to separate the crowd, when an officer took Tesfaye aside. The singer then allegedly punched the officer in the head. Read more here.
