Iggy Azalea's Ex Order To Stop Leaking Her Music
. (Radio.com) Iggy Azalea has been granted a preliminary injunction which prevents her early songs to be released by music companies working with her ex-boyfriend, Maurice Williams (rapper Hefe Wine). According to Billboard, Azalea filed a lawsuit in September after she got word that Williams had unreleased music and an alleged sex tape in his possession. According to the complaint, Williams "downloaded the entire contents of Azalea's personal computer," which included unreleased master recordings and had already sent some of the songs to various music companies. Several music companies later claimed that they had secured the rights to release an EP from Azalea from these unreleased masters. However, Azalea said they got these rights through forgery of her signature. After a lengthy debate on how the companies got the use of her signature, the judge sided with Azalea (real name Amethyst Kelly). "The Court is thus left with sharply conflicting testimony regarding the circumstances surrounding the Recording Agreement," Judge O'Connell wrote. Read more here.
