Morrissey Cheers The Injury of Bullfighter
. (Radio.com) Friend to the animals, enemy to carnivores Morrissey has managed to outrage some people again--people who've likely never listened to his album Meat Is Murder, or any of his monologues. This time Morrissey has offended by taking a bull's side, instead of the bullfighter the animal impaled. The bullfighter in question is Karla de Los Angeles, who he calls a "serial killer" says he "felt delight" in seeing her injured "against her largely defenseless opponent," in a post on his fan site, True to You. "Make no mistake: there is no such thing as bullfighting," Morrissey wrote before breaking down the "illusion" of the contest of bullfighting. "Whenever the matador is suddenly at a disadvantage, other matadors rush to her/his aid, and they stab the bull. However, the bull is not allowed support from other bulls should he find himself similarly in trouble," he said, then saying the event "can only appeal to people who have no intelligence."
