T.I. Planning To Open Soul Food Restaurant
. (Radio.com) T.I. will soon be cooking up something besides chart-topping Southern hip-hop: he'll also be serving upscale Southern food. The self-annointed King of the South has announced plans to open a restaurant in his native Atlanta featuring high-end versions of the Southern dishes he grew up on," Atlanta's V-103 (a CBS Radio station) reports. A source close to the rapper told V-103 that construction and renovation have already begun on the property, which is located off Ivan Allen Boulevard. No word on when the restaurant will open, but he joins such rappers as Diddy, Jermaine Dupri and Ludacris who have also opened dining establishments in the Georgia capitol. Read more here.
