Steve Aoki Will No Longer Throw Cake Indiscriminately
. (Radio.com) Let them not eat cake: Steve Aoki says he will no longer throw cake indiscriminately. The crowd-rafting DJ announced that he is reserving the very special audience cake toss for fans who attend his headlining shows. In statement released Wednesday, Aoki explained his thoughts. "To start the New Year I'm making some new changes and have decided I'll no longer be caking fans at most festivals," he wrote. "There might be an exception here or there but for the most part I'll be saving the CAKE for my headline shows, keeping it exclusive for the die hard fans." Those diehard fans can, he says, show up to one of his headlining shows as part of the Neon Future Experience in February and March. But hey, at least there's new music, too. To commemorate the news, Aoki released a new track, aptly titled "CAKEFACE," available immediately as a free download. Click the down arrow on the top left of the player below to download the song.
