Lady Gaga is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, actor Taylor Kinney, who she met in 2011 on the set of her "You and I" video. "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!" she wrote as the caption to a photo of her new rock. Yes, diamonds are a Gaga's best friend.

Kinney, who has appeared in films like Zero Dark Thirty and currently stars on the TV show Chicago Fire, seems like a very straitlaced choice in comparison to Gaga, but in an interview with Glamour he said the two were "kindred spirits."

Gaga agreed in a 2014 interview, "The way that it really works is, we trust each other. He's on his journey, and I'm on mine., and we're gypsies--and then when we're together we're really in love."

As far her dream wedding, she had a few thoughts back then. "I am the center of attention in my job every single day, the thought of a wedding to me is exhausting. Why would I put myself through that? I want to go to David's Bridal. Here's my dream wedding: David's Bridal, grooms go on the men's side, girls go on the female side. We get completely hammered, we get the the worst dresses we can find and then we go to the courthouse."
