Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman Releasing Cookbook

. (Radio.com) Kimberly Schlapman of country quartet Little Big Town has loved to cook since she was a child, and already hosts a popular cooking show, Simply Southern, on Great American Country. Now she's announced her first-ever cookbook will hit stories this spring.

Titled Oh Gussie! Cooking and Visiting in Kimberly's Southern Kitchen, the book mixes recipes with stories of her upbringing, her life at home and her travels with the band. The book is set for release on April 14.

'I've been so excited about this that I could hardly stand the wait!" Schlapman said in a press statement. 'When I'm not on stage with Little Big Town, you can probably find me in my kitchen. As long as I've been singing, I've been cooking. I have poured my heart and soul into this book, and I hope these recipes and stories will inspire you and bring you closer to the ones you love as you fill up their bellies--and their hearts."
