Miranda Lambert Was 'Pretty Shocked' By Grammys Win
. (Radio.com) Miranda Lambert had a memorable time at the Grammys on Sunday night (Feb. 8), the country singer-songwriter taking home the award for Best Country Album for Platinum. In a backstage interview with the Grammys on Sunday she was all smiles. 'I was pretty shocked," Lambert said of hearing her name announced. 'I was kind of sad when I saw the category, 'cause I was like, 'Mmm, it's pretty tough.' You know? There's some amazing albums in that category and I'm a fan of all of them. I'm thrilled to death." Lambert was nominated alongside Brandy Clark, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church and Lee Ann Womack in the Best Country Album category. "I really poured my heart and soul into this record," she added. "I mean I do every record. All of us do. This was the record I made 10 years into my career and it felt like it set me up for the next decade and what was going to happen. I spent more time and effort on this one than any of them. I was trying to make sure I was prepared for the next phase." Read more here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
