Zac Brown Band Expanded Their Appeal In 2015 With 'Homegrown'

"Homegrown" was followed by "Heavy is the Head" featuring Chris Cornell, which was released to rock radio, rather than country. Clearly, making a diverse album was a goal of Brown's; another song on the album featured Sara Bareilles. Since first making a splash on the country scene, the Zac Brown Band has been able to deftly balance his left-field sensibility with mainstream appeal, allowing him to stand out in a crowded genre.
