Cole Swindell Releases Emotional 'You Should Be Here' Video
. "'You Should Be Here,' [is] a song I wrote last year when I was on tour, I wrote it outside of a football stadium, believe it or not," Swindell told Radio.com. "Just thinking about I lost my dad two years ago in a freak accident, and when Ashley Gorley, one of my favorite writers, brought up this title, he had to have known that's what I wanted to write." The video follows Swindell's successes and features his family as the lyrics reflect the singer's desire to share these moments with his father. "I thought about my dad," Swindell added. "Just all the things that I get to do. It ain't even for the folks that maybe haven't lost somebody, maybe you just miss somebody. Maybe you have family in another state, or there's those moments in life that we all get to share, and it's like if that one person was here, man, they'd freak out, they would love it." By the end of the clip, Swindell is in tears and you just might be as well. Watch it here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
