J. Cole To Star In HBO Concert Film Special

(Radio.com) J. Cole has had one of the best years in hip-hop. His album 2014 Forrest Hills Drive was the first rap album without features to go platinum in 25 years. His latest musical effort has also landed him a concert special on HBO titled J. Cole 2014 Forrest Hills Drive: Homecoming. Jay Z and Drake will both make appearances.

According to a press release, the HBO special is a concert film that will give viewers a peek behind the curtain to see what goes on backstage. Fans will learn more about Cole's journey through life from the people who know him best and through his own words.

Directed by Scott Lazer, the concert will show J. Cole performing all thirteen songs from the album with a live band. The live band promises to underline the power and poignancy in J. Cole's lyrics. Find the broadcast dates here.
