Van Halen's David Lee Roth Explodes Over Thrown Beer
. "Somebody just threw a beer up here," Roth told the audience as he stopped the group during the introduction to their 1981 "Fair Warning" track "Dirty Movies." "In a younger day, I would've promised I would've slept with his girlfriend," continued Roth. "At this point in my career, the roughest, most f***ed insult I could probably make to this guy is that I probably already have slept with his wife." The singer then spoke directly to the upset audience member's partner, saying, "Can you control that motherf***er? I'll talk to you later, sweetheart," before adding, "next time, you save the beer for me, you slime", while making an obscene gesture and flipping the guy the bird.
