Singled Out: Stone Foundation's Beverley
. We were approached by Cass Pennant to write a title song for his new project and film Beverley. The film is based in Leicester in the 80's and tells the story of a young mixed race girl growing up during a time of racial tension and centres around her love of the two tone movement. It was something we could really get our teeth into and ultimately started the writing process off for the new album "A Life Unlimited". The film is directed by talented up and coming director Alex Thomas and he was kind enough to send over some rushes from the film that our long time video collaborator Lee Cogswell cut around myself (Neil Jones) singing in one of the locations where Beverley was filmed. We wanted the video to tell the songs story. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself as you watch the video here and learn more about the band and the album right here!
