Megadeth's Dave Mustaine To Drive Pace Car At NASCAR Event

. (hennemusic) Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine will be the honorary pace car driver for the annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Cheez-It 355 at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York this Sunday, August 9.

The event is part of NASCAR weekend at The Glen, billed as the largest sporting event in New York State. Fans will witness the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, NASCAR Xfinity and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series over the course of the weekend, with the Bully Hill 125 on Friday, Zippo 200 on Saturday and Cheez-It 355 at The Glen on Sunday.

Mustaine and Megadeth are gearing up for the late 2015 release of their forthcoming 15th album. The project will feature 13 original tunes and two covers: "Melt The Ice Away" by Budgie and "Foreign Policy" by Fear. Read more here.
