Singled Out: Burke The Jurke's Fork In The Road
. The significance of Fork in the Road is to clue you in on a change and a choice happening. My sound was always more brash and aggressive. While I maintain that intensity, I'm channeling it into something with more message and substance. Also, when I wrote it, subconsciously I was venting that I was ready for a change, ready to maybe move out of my city and live somewhere else. The lyrics from the chorus "I know that I might not be sure where to go, or where I'm tying to go, how I'll get there or ever how long I'll be gone" make so much sense to me as a person, but I wasn't really aware of that until I listened to the song and thought, "Wow, this is not just a song, I really feel this way". So the song is basically showing you that this is where the change has occurred and also telling people not to be afraid of change. Hearing is believing.
