The Weeknd and Jack U Headlining HARD Summer Festival (Recap)

.
On Thursday The Weeknd and Jack U Headlining HARD Summer Festival was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Notorious Southern California music festival HARD Summer has announced this year's lineup, which comes with a superstar R&B surprise with The Weeknd scheduled to headline the fest's opening night

Still riding high on the back of successful outings at this year's Coachella festival (including a Kanye West cameo), The Weeknd brings a dose of mainstream stardom to the event, which is known for showcasing EDM heroes among a smattering of hip-hop acts.
HARD Summer's second night headliner will be Jack U, the DJ super-duo of Diplo and Skrillex, who were also atop last year's bill. The packed bill also includes the return of '90s dance music pioneers the Chemical Brothers, Porter Robinson, Chromeo and Die Antwoord. Upstart rap duo Rae Sremmurd is sure to be among this year's biggest draws, as will DJ Mustard, who's billed to be performing "with friends," which could mean any of a host of hip-hop's hottest rappers that he produces, including L.A.'s own YG.

Young Thug, Jamie XX, Fetty Wap, iLoveMakonnen, MK, Schoolboy Q, Odesza and Hudson Mohawke are also featured on this year's bill, which takes over the Pomona Fairplex just south of Los Angeles over the weekend of August 1 & 2. Single and two-day passes are available via Ticketmaster. See the initial lineup below, with more acts expected to be added at a later date.
