Burger Chain Sparks Controversy With Madonna Tweet (Recap)
. Why? Due to the image's subject matter, coming from the chain's Costa Mesa, Calif., location via a sign in its window: along with photos of Drake and Madonna, a message reads, "Because nothing gets the taste of old lady out like Umami," with an accompanying hashtag #BettaThanMouthwash. Given Madonna's recent comments on ageism in the media and especially pop music, she'd probably be none too happy about the sign. Billboard snagged a screenshot of the tweet, see it - here.
