Kelsea Ballerini Reveals Personal New Song, 'Secondhand Smoke'
. This is particularly true of new song, "Secondhand Smoke," available for stream below. It is apparently so personal, the singer hasn't even been able to perform it live yet without breaking down, she told Rolling Stone. "It's so many people's story, and a story that needs to be told because I know when I was 12 and 13 when [the divorce] was happening, I felt super alone," Ballerini said. "I want to be a voice of comfort for people going through that." The divorce ended up being a catalyst for the young Ballerini finding her songwriting voice, and the rest has been history.
