Michael Bolton Performs IRS Love Letter On 'Last Week Tonight'
. On Sunday night's episode of John Oliver's HBO talk show, he brought out Bolton to croon a new song written about tax season. It starts off innocently enough, with delicate piano and Bolton's croon of "I could hardly believe it/ When I heard the news today," seemingly straight out of some sort of Lee Greenwood-esque patriotic anthem. After awhile, two things are clear: first, this is a parody of "How Am I Supposed to Live without You?"; second, it's a love letter to the IRS. "But we need you real bad/ Though it's clear nobody likes you," Bolton sings. "You're the anus of our country, don't you know?" Read more and watch it here.
