Madonna Performs Classic Hit 'Holiday' With The Roots

. (popmusiclife) Madonna performed her 1983 hit, "Holiday", on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday. The singer teamed up with house band The Roots to jam on the tune with children's instruments, a tradition of the late-night program.

"Holiday" was the third single from Madonna's 1983 self-titled debut album. The song peaked at No. 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100 while the album hit No. 8 on the Billboard 200 on its way to selling more than 5 million copies in the States alone.

Madonna appeared on The Tonight Show to promote her latest album, "Rebel Heart." Her thirteenth studio release currently sits at No. 57 on the Billboard 200 after 4 weeks on the chart. Watch the Fallon performance here.
