Rock in Rio will celebrate its 30th anniversary and the debut of Rock in Rio USA in Las Vegas on May 8-9 and May 15-16, 2015. The event will mark Metallica's return to the Rock in Rio festival following performances at Rock in Rio Lisboa in 2004, 2008 and 2012 (which featured a performance of 1991's "Metallica" album), Rock in Rio Madrid in 2010, as well as in the fest's home city of Rio in 2011 and 2013.

"Our friends from Rock in Rio USA are heading Stateside for the first time and we're thrilled to be a part of it!," said Metallica. "See you in Las Vegas one night during the first weekend of the festival, May 8-9, 2015!"
