The charges against Sean Murphy have been nixed, The Sun Chronicle reports. He was accused of rape of the girl at the Xfinity Center in Boston while onlookers took cellphone videos.

The newspaper reports that prosecutors dropped the case after "extensive" conversations with both Murphy and the 17-year-old girl. "What we thought all along has been borne out. It was a consensual act," Dedham defense lawyer Neil Crowley told the newspaper. "No crime was committed."
