Dave Davies Optimistic For Kinks Reunion Next Year
. "We have so much great music that goes back so many years," he said recently, speaking to Rolling Stone. "We both want to do something next year." Davies comments come on the heels of an apparent misunderstanding between Ray Davies and Mojo magazine. Last month, Mojo quoted the Kinks leader as saying he would reform The Kinks in 2015, with or without Dave. Davies subsequently denied making any such statement, and recently the brothers even spent time together in England, playing music. "It would be a shame if Ray and I didn't do something next year," Dave Davies continues. "I'm prepared to talk. If Ray's got some great ideas, let me hear them. I have my own ideas about how it should be presented. But I don't want it to be a Ray Davies show where he lets his little brother stand in the corner, which he likes to do. It has to be done properly and respectfully." Read the original report here. Gibson.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
