(Radio.com) Kip Moore will launch his first major headlining tour this week. In celebration, he has released a new five-song EP to hold fans over until his sophomore album Smoke drops.

"We've been working toward this moment for a long time," Moore said in a press release. "To headline our own tour has been the ultimate goal for us. What we do on stage best describes who I am as an artist. I'm floored that dates are already sold-out. We've been working hard to make sure that the fans get their money's worth and we're going to put everything we have on stage every single night to do just that."

Just two days before his sold-out tour kickoff in New York, today (Sept. 23), Moore released a live streaming EP, which is available via Spotify. The EP includes live tracks of Moore's previous No. 1 hit "Beer Money" as well as previously unreleased tracks "Heart's Desire," "Come And Get It," "Hang A While" and "Lipstick." Moore recorded each track during a rehearsal session in Nashville.

In an interview with Radio.com during the ACMs, Moore said his followup to debut album Up All Night will be "intense." "This record, I can't believe it actually because I was in such a desperate place writing the first one, but this one has even more desperation and more passion than the first one for me," he tells Radio.com. "This is a much more intense record than the first one. It's a more in-the-present record as opposed to a nostalgic record like the first one. I believe in this record wholeheartedly. There's a lot more me shining through on this record."

Moore kicks off his CMT On Tour 2014: Up In Smoke in New York with Charlie Worsham and Sam Hunt this Thursday.
