Vince Gill to Be Honored at BMI Country Awards

. (Radio.com) Vince Gill will be honored this November at the 62nd annual BMI Country Awards. The all-star tribute will take place on Nov. 4 at BMI's Nashville headquarters. Previously honored artists include Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and Kris Kristofferson.

According to Rolling Stone Country, Gill receives the award thanks to his 35-year career in country, which includes 20 GRAMMY awards and 26 million album sales.

Well known for his expertise as a musician and country singer and songwriter, this isn't the first time the hall of famer has been recognized. Earlier this year, he earned a Career Achievement Award from Country Radio Broadcasters.

Gill also regularly lends his support to up-and-coming artists. He produced Ashley Monroe's Like a Rose and has appeared on albums by Brandy Clark and Charlie Worsham. Read more here.
