OK Go Claim Apple Ripped Off Their Video
. The offender was a video Apple had put together called "Perspective" that not only uses the same filming method - consisting of one long-shot that hinges on a trompe l'oeil effect - but also used the same exact production company and director. Of course, it could be just a coincidence that Apple used a similar visual trick and the same personnel to produce it, but OK Go claim they met with Apple last April to pitch the idea as a possible collaboration - only Apple declined. So the band decided to put together the video on their own, and have since racked up 10.5 million views. In an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek, OK Go's manager Andy Gershon said, "The videos speak for themselves, and you can draw your own conclusions," before adding that the band is exploring legal options.
