Foo Fighters Challenge Gene Simmons Over Rock Is Dead Comments

. (hennemusic) The Foo Fighters are stepping up to challenge a recent claim by Gene Simmons that rock is dead. "Not so fast, Mr. God of Thunder," tweeted the band in response to comments made by the 65-year old during an interview with his son, Nick, that was published in Esquire magazine.

"For performers who are also songwriters - the creators - for rock music, for soul, for the blues - it's finally dead," claimed the KISS bassist. "Rock is finally dead."

Simmons, who this fall will publish a marketing advice book, "Me, Inc.: Build An Army Of One, Unleash Your Inner Rock God, Win In Life And Business", also suggested kids give up trying to learn instruments or to attempt to make it in the music industry. More here.
